Privacy policy

• Their first name, and an age band — not a date of birth.
• A drawn avatar they build from shapes. Never a photograph of the child. There is nowhere in our system to put one.
• What their business is called, what jobs they offer, and what they charge.
• The bills and offers they send, and whether they were paid.
• Anything they choose to write about their work.
• Photographs of the work — a mown lawn, a washed car — which a parent approves before anybody else can see them.

We never collect a child’s location, contacts, or device identifiers, and we do not show advertising.

A parent or guardian gives a name, an email address, and optionally a phone number and the payment handles their child’s customers pay into — a Venmo username, for example. No money moves through Pay Up, Please and we never see a bank account or a card.

A customer is someone who hires a child: a neighbour, a grandparent. We store the name the child enters, a phone number or an email, and how they know each other. If a phone number is stored we also record whether the child confirmed that the customer agreed to be texted, and when — see the messaging policy.

A child under 13 cannot create an account alone. A parent or guardian must give verifiable consent first, and we do not store anything about the child until they have. The consent is by email with a second confirming step, and it can be withdrawn at any time.

A parent can see everything their child has written or been sent, take any of it down, export all of it, or delete the whole account. Deleting removes the child’s record and everything attached to it.

Nobody, for money, ever. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or pass it to data brokers.

We use a small number of suppliers to run the product — hosting, a database, an email sender, and a text-message sender. They process data on our instructions only. We do not use analytics or advertising trackers.

A parent can export or delete everything from the settings screen, or by writing to privacy@getpup.app. Deletion is real deletion, not a hidden flag.
